Great Point Investment Ltd (Great Point) has been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) since July 2014. Great Point is an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)/Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) Manager which also offered discretionary management services to an Estate Planning Service.
Great Point entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation on 30 July 2024 with Andrew Charters, Chris Laverty and Nick Nicholson of Grant Thornton LLP appointed as Joint Liquidators.

FSCS has been accepting claims against Great Point from August 2024. We’re currently using these to investigate whether there may be valid claims that meet the qualifying conditions for compensation.
We’ve been gathering documents and data to help us better understand the services that Great Point provided and the potential issues with those services. We’re also working with the firm’s insolvency practitioners to source the information we need.

FSCS is now open to customer claims.
Although we are accepting claims against Great Point, they will not be immediately passed to our claims processing teams for assessment. This is because we will be investigating the firm to see if any claims meet the qualifying conditions for compensation, and this may take some time. This will be a complex investigation and we anticipate working very closely with the Joint Liquidators.
