Single customer view
Under the Depositor Protection Rules, FSCS must pay compensation to customers within 10 business days of a deposit taker failing. We target ourselves to exceed this and pay within seven days, so that customers can get their money back as soon as possible.
To make sure we can pay on time, deposit takers must provide a single customer view (SCV) file to FSCS within 24 hours. The SCV file gives us the information we need to make sure customers get paid.
We've produced a series of videos to help deposit takers with their SCV submissions. These videos are designed to help you avoid common errors that we've found when checking SCV files.

Data validation for large beneficiary deposit accounts (e.g. Deposit Aggregators)
Managers of beneficiary deposit accounts with a large number of beneficiaries (such as Deposit Aggregators) are invited to submit their data to check its quality and compatibility with FSCS’s systems.
The process uses technology developed by FSCS for verification of deposit-taker data. It offers a secure, fast, and easy way to gain assurance of data quality.
Please contact the SCV Assurance Team for further details.
