Career pathways

At FSCS, we say we are a small organisation that does a big job. So, we want everyone to feel that they can reach their full potential.

We also recognise that in the world of work today, there are many ways to grow and develop, that progression doesn’t always follow a path of linear, vertical promotion… and that the journey can be just as important as the destination.

So, we are delighted to have a structured development programme in place, Career Pathways

This programme has been designed to help our people visualise their career progression within FSCS by working with them to identify their potential for skills development, setting clear milestones, and providing the development opportunities necessary to help them reach their goals.

We asked some of our employees to share some advice based on their own career journeys at FSCS.

“I suggest to always keep an open mind and remember that the door is always open for opportunity. Sometimes we get so focused on the ‘now’ that we quite easily forget about how it may impact our future wellbeing and happiness.

I often visit the quote ‘Do something today that your future self will thank you for’. Even if it’s something small. Think about where you would like to see yourself in the next five years. Have those conversations with your manager, check out the careers hub. The support is out there #JustDoIt”
